You hear all the bad things about these dogs, and hardly any of the good. You dont hear about how they save the children's lives they were raised around from drowning. You dont hear that there was a dog in WWII who was decorated and given credit for saving it's entire company! What about the Buster Brown dog? Remember Petey from the Little rascles? Did you know that Helen Keller's companion dog was an APBT? I could go on and on. You dont hear about how the first half of the 20th century these dogs were America's dog. Think of what comes to mind when you think about the family dog from back in the day. All of those things that they needed and desired in a family dog were all found in abundance in the American Pitbull Terrier. Strength, Tenacity, Loyalty, Gentle with children, Loving, Healthy, able to hunt. These dogs are the most loyal and affectionate dog on the Earth! As such, they aim to please their owners.
