Transfer of Ownership Contract
The undersigned buyer, , and seller, --------------------, do hereby agree to the following terms and conditions on the purchase of an American Pit-bull Terrier dog by law.
The buyer is to pay a non-refundable deposit on the pup in the amount of $200.00 or total of $ .
Should the buyer decide not to purchase said dog after making a deposit, the deposit will be transferred to the next available litter if done so before the pup is 6 weeks of age. However, if the buyer waits until the dog is six weeks of age or older to contact the seller on the matter, the deposit will be forfeited. Puppies must be picked up no later than in the 8th week of it’s life, or deposit will be forfeit, unless prior arrangements are made with seller.
The registered name of the dog will remain “Lowry’s”. Under no circumstances will the name ever be changed on any registry certificate.
Buyer must notify seller of the dog’s condition upon request. Pictures must be provided to the seller, from the buyer, upon request. Buyer must notify seller of a new address or phone number should either ever be changed.
Buyer agrees to socialize the dog, keep in healthy condition, feed the dog a quality feed, and provide it with an adequate shelter and containment. If assistance is needed in providing for the dog, help may be provided from seller, within reason at the discretion of the seller.
Under no circumstances will the dog ever be used in any illegal activity. If there is ever any evidence that the dog is being abused or used in any illegal activity, the seller has all rights to reposes the dog and no financial reimbursements shall be provided to the buyer. The buyer also agrees to sign over all registration certificates to the original seller immediately.
Seller agrees to replace dog with another of equal value from the next available litter should the dog have a major genetic fault(bite, hips) up to 12 months of age. The dog must be returned alive and in good condition to the seller with a statement from no less than 3 licensed veterinarians stating the problem. The problem/fault can NOT be due to improper nutrition, lack of exercise, lack of socialization, fighting, bad care, or unproven genetic fault or sickness.
Dog/pup has a guarantee from the seller that if for any reason buyer is not happy with the dog, seller will take dog/pup back and trade for another dog of same value. No money will be refunded. This is a conditional guarantee, under the condition that the dog/pup has not been abused nor neglected. It is my belief that the dog will have a better home if the owner is pleased with the dog.
All pups are wormed at 2 weeks of age, and every other week thereafter till 8 weeks of age they are given a 7in1 shot at 6 weeks of age. If buyer prefers 8in1 shot, I will substitute at the buyer’s expense.
Should buyer ever break this agreement in any way, ownership of the dog reverts back to the seller. The buyer/owner agrees to sign over all registration papers on said dog. The seller has all rights to confiscate the dog, if this agreement is broken in any way, at any given time with no compensation to the buyer/owner. If legal expenses are incurred, buyer/owner shall be responsible for court costs and attorney fees.
The undersigned buyer and seller do here by accept this agreement to purchase an American Pit-bull Terrier. All registry papers will be signed over to buyer upon final payment.
This contract is legal and binding in all states of the United States of America.
